The founders of Taxamo are also major shareholders in the Irish Fintech company Fexco which employ over 2,300 in 14 offices around the globe.

Founders and management
Exec chairman, FEXCO
Brian McCarthy founded FEXCO in 1981. Based in Killorglin, Co. Kerry, FEXCO is Ireland's largest independent financial company, employing nearly 2,300 people globally. Brian has been instrumental in the development and growth of the company during the 30 years since its founding. Brian worked with Allied Irish Banks from 1963 to 1981. He is a member of the UCC Foundation Committee and a Director of Radio Kerry. Previously, he was Chairman of the Interim Prisons Board of the Irish Prisons Authority for a period of 12 years. He was honoured in October 2002 with receiving the Ernst & Young International Entrepreneur of the Year Award. He also received the Sean F. Lemass Award for Excellence in Marketing in 1987.
John is the founder and CEO of Taxamo. John holds the position of Executive Director on the FEXCO Holdings and heads FEXCO's Mobile Payment Acceptance Network. John previously held the positions of Head of New Revenue Streams and Innovation for FEXCO Group and spent two years in Asia Pacific developing FEXCO's Dynamic Currency Conversion and Multi-Currency Pricing products, solutions and services. John graduated with first class honours from Trinity College.
Denis was appointed CEO of FEXCO in January 2015, having previously held the position of Non-Executive Director. Denis has a degree in Mathematics and founded Annadale Technologies, a software development company specialising in the design and development of web-based transaction processing applications. Denis also founded Aviso, a payments software company.
Marc leads the commercial strategy for engagement with partners and enterprise clients.
Previously Marc has held a series of executive roles including Managing Director of Visa UK where he was responsible for strategic management of Visa's business the second largest market for Visa globally after US, as well as Ireland and global clients. He led a step change in all top line metrics over five years including revenue growth from €250 million to €700 million per annum increasing the value of the franchise from €3billion to €9billion.
Marc has held a variety of global roles including Managing Director of Visa in the Nordics and was until recently a Senior Partner at Capco leading their payments and fintech practice covering retail and institutional payments and working with clients on PSD2, Alternative & Instant Payments, Blockchain, Mobile and Challenger Banking.
Outside of senior corporate roles Marc is advisor to a series of fintech and regtech businesses including a blockchain proposition for the music industry and a consumer FX proposition. In particular, focusing on series X fund-raising, sales, marketing, partner development, PR, go-to-market, recruitment, governance, and scale-up.
